Ed Reid is a well-known author and television personality, seen on 3 ABN, the Hope Channel, and other Adventist network stations, and was the stewardship director for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist for more than 20 years. He now serves Adventist World Radio as special assistant to the president for planned giving. The subject of his six presentations for our evening meetings and Sabbath church service is “The Certainty of the Second Coming.”
 
Dr. Jamie Gavin is president of Comforting Hope, a counseling ministry in Walla Walla. He says Comforting Hope assists churches and Christian institutions in becoming support groups unto themselves, facilitating a Spirit-filled, loving body of believers.”  His topic is “Christian Intimacy.”
 
Rhonda Backman, our early-morning speaker, says, “The subject of righteousness by faith has filled my heart and has been a favorite topic of study since my early years, so every talk I share has some aspect of Christ's righteousness in it.” Her overall topic is “The Four Faces of Jesus.” She has titled her individual talks, “Humanity Extraordinaire,” “Suffering Servanthood,” “The Divinity Display,” and “Heavenly Reflection.” Rhonda is from Sandpoint, Idaho.
 
John Stanton is the Director of Personal Evangelism and Discipleship for the Upper Columbia Conference. He and his musically talented wife Rochelle are devoted to helping others share the everlasting gospel with others.  His subject will be “The Mission of God's Church.”  [I believe that we as God's people need to return to a biblical model of the church, a design that Jesus unfolded after His first advent. I will be sharing details about this and how we can get back on track with God's original plan.”]
 
Larry Kirkpatrick is pastor of the Bonners Ferry, ID and Clarksfork, WA churches. His topic is “The Emerging Church.”
